When ordering from FAO Schwarz online, I thought the doll was being shipped from New York Instead it was shipped from China and took weeks! Also I was charged for shipping when it stated on their website that shipping was free.
When I finally received the doll it had a VERY strong chemical smell! I kept the doll out of the box for a week and the smell was still very strong. I contacted customer service to ask about returning the doll and they told me I couldn’t return the doll as it was a final sale. The doll still smells and it has been over a month now. It was to be a gift and I would not give this doll because of the smell. I ordered it from another company and the doll is perfect … no smell at all!
I will not be ordering products from FAO Schwarz ever againn!

We do state free shipping on orders over $100, however our policy also notes that there are exceptions to the free shipping policy. Ruby Red is one of the brands that is excluded from free shipping. This is noted in the item description, and in our shipping policy. As for the smell, we are very sorry to hear about this, as we have not heard this complaint with any other Ruby Red dolls! All Ruby Red dolls are final sale, but we apologize for the negative experience you had with this item. We do hope you will give us another chance for any future gifting needs!
