The top runs small and the bottom runs large in the waist. I’d suggest adding a drawstring and it’s a lot of buttons for a 5 year old. Maybe they should have had faux buttons w hooks. It’s very well made so that makes up for the things that I would change. I would recommend for a newly turned 5 year old. My son is 5.5 and in the 80th percentile for height 60th for weight. He’s about 42 pounds.

Bought for my daughter who saw it in person and fell in love and hasn’t stopped talking about it. Arrived and it was perfect except for an approximately 2-inch scratch on the front of the suit where the fabric has been ruined.

I’m really disappointed with my recent purchase. I bought an item for my grandson, but the size was wrong. While the mailing timelines were clear in the confirmation email, the actual mailing was different from what was communicated, which affected my return period. The customer service was not helpful at all. Not even allowing for an exchange for an unopened, unused item.
I didn’t do my research before buying and now see numerous unresolved consumer complaints. It’s disheartening to see such a decline in service after the store's comeback. I won’t be purchasing here again or through any third-party retailers. They charge premium prices but act like a bargain basement clearance center.
While my grandson did not wear the costume, it appears to be uncomfortable to wear for more than a very short time period.

My son feels like a real solider and the quality is superb! The price is well worth it and we will cherish the memories we make in this costume. I’d buy it again and will be back to FAO for next years costume! My son is a smaller 5 year old and I ordered him a size 4 and it was a perfect fit.
