Opening Ceremony
Seeing one of our Toy Soldiers perform the official opening ceremony is the perfect way to kick off a day in the city! Big kids and small kids are always welcome to join us at the Plaza at Rockefeller Center each morning to see our store come to life.

Please note during inclement weather, our Toy Soldiers will not perform the opening ceremony to allow them to take care of the toys inside the store.
Jellycat Diner
With a menu full of delectable dishes, we have something for everyone. Now serving an exclusive menu, only at FAO Schwarz, 30 Rock , including Amuseables Breck Hot Dog, Amuseables Cristuff Pizza, Amuseables McKenna Burger and Amuseables Rustic Fries!
Each experience includes a Jellycat Amuseables plush food item, an exclusive enamel pin, exclusive sticker set, gift packaging, personalized sticker, and a reusable tote bag. Order up!
Your to-go order is lovingly prepared by our diner team and is served in your very own personalized packaging.

Rush Reservations’ at The Jellycat Diner – Launching 9/21 at 9am in person.
If you weren’t able to grab a reservation during the regular release, there’s still a chance to place your order! Starting 9/21, we will be offering up to 40 ‘Rush Reservations’ each day.
You can book these reservation slots starting at 9am in person at the Diner Entrance to FAO Schwarz, located on 49th St. between 5th & 6th Avenues.
One of our Diner team will be ready to share the available reservation times for that day.
Reservations are on a first come, first served basis and space is limited– so we recommend arriving early to secure your spot.
Beauty Experience
At the FAO-Abulous Boutique, young glamouristas can create the makeup collection of their dreams. Your creation is ready to take home in our signature makeup case that includes all the accessories you need to have all of the beauty moments you could wish for at home.
Each experience comes with your choice of 3 Blushes, 4 Eyeshadows, 2 Lip Glosses, 2 Lipsticks and 3 Nail polishes. There are over 25,000 possible combinations for your personalized collection, as well as making it truly yours by choosing your choice of heart charm to emboss your initials on.
For those seeking their moment in the spotlight, the Deluxe Beauty Experience offers a dazzling upgrade. In addition to creating your collection, enjoy a mini makeover with one of our FAO-Abulous Makeup Artists who will share some tips and tricks to create your look at home.
For the Deluxe Beauty Experience, bookings are recommended, but not required, as we do accept walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.

Handbag Experience
Handbags are the ultimate accessory for any fashion conscious individual. At the FAO-Abulous Boutique you can create your very own custom handbag with over 25,000 possible combinations.
Each experience comes with your choice of handbag, strap, scarf, pompom and add on accessory, Your initials are then embossed on our exclusive heart bag charm, taking your pick from our selection of colors. Add-on accessories are available to purchase from $5.
Our handbag specialists will guide you through the process of making your selections and styling them all together. Your creation is ready to take home in our exclusive Boutique Dust Bag to protect it on its travels.

Mix-Mart
Slime Charmers is the newest addition to Crazy Aaron’s at FAO Schwarz NYC. Decide between water or buttery slime, then customize it using color, scent, charms and sensory mix-ins with the help of one of our crazy confectioners. You will be instrumental in making your own slime as you will pump the glue base and hand-mix the components to form your own unique compound.
Also, get inventive and create your own Thinking Putty at the Mix-Mart. Pick your color, special effects, and sprinkles, then watch your creation come together in the Crazy Creator putty mixer. Thinking Putty is silicone-based and non-toxic, with a specific design that prevents it from drying out.

Custom Jewelry Experience
Calling all crafters, fashionistas and stylists! Head to the BaubleBar Jewelry Shop to create a custom bracelet, necklace, or bag charm made exclusively for you. Browse the available styles and then head to our interactive machine with a BaubleBar Designer to select up to 9 characters to be added to your bracelet, necklace, or bag charm. Next, our BaubleBar Designers will help you assemble your creation. Don’t forget to peruse our best-selling jewelry and accessories to complete your look.
Each experience includes one base for your selected jewlery item (bracelet, necklace, or bag charm), and up to 9 letter and character beads, complete with a BaubleBar pouch to take your creation home in.

My FAO Doll
Experience the excitement of welcoming your own little bundle of joy to the family at My FAO Doll. Be prepared for the all important interview to make sure you’re ready for the responsibility of caring for another. We will do a quick checkup, to make sure everyone is happy and healthy before departure, and then it is over to you.
Each experience comes with a swaddle to make your baby’s journey home more snuggly, don’t worry, we will show you how to wrap them up the way they like. You’ll also get fully completed paperwork to make everything official. Make sure you have a name in mind.
$130 per experience. Suitable for ages 6+.
Personalized Teddy Bear Experience
For the first time in Steiff’s 145-year history, you can customize a Steiff Teddy Bear with an exclusive FAO Schwarz ear tag, adding a personal touch to a cherished classic! Known as the inventor of the Teddy Bear and for their highly recognizable yellow ear tag, you can now make this German classic your own.
Each experience comes with your choice of our most beloved bears, Jimmy in oatmeal or fuchsia, Honey in gray or Ben in oatmeal, available in regular and extra large. Personalize the ear tag with the name of a special someone and a personal message to them. You will BEARly believe your eyes as you behold one of our Steiff Specialists secure the ear tags with Steiff's signature button.
Your Teddy bear is lovingly wrapped in exclusive tissue paper and carefully packed in the cutest little gift box. If you don’t have a Steiff, you don’t have a Teddy Bear!

Embroidery
Welcome to Cricket Island, where creativity and friendship await every visitor! Come see our Bunnies By The Bay shop at FAO Schwarz and add that extra special touch to an adorable new plushie with our range of embroidery services. We offer a variety of colors, icons, fonts and gifting options to add on to your new best friend. We can even embroider in your handwriting to ensure that you leave with a one-of-a-kind special memory to give your loved one.
Embroidery pricing begins at $12 per item based on your chosen option.

Imagination Island
Embark on a one-of-a-kind wild adventure at schleich® Imagination Island at FAO Schwarz, New York! Design your very own animal creature and bring it to life with fun patterns, colors, and characteristics like its favorite food or type of music. From zebra-lions to floral unicorns, every character is a one-of-a-kind creation—designed by YOU.
Your creature and custom trading card will be magically created with your help to turn the cranks, sending them through the imagination machine. Once complete, your creature and trading card will be packed in an exclusive FAO Schwarz collector gift box. Experience the magic with schleich® — where imagination runs free and where stories begin!

Personalization Station
Choo Choo, All Aboard! Take a unique journey from BRIO Personalization Station departing from the heart of New York.
Drop by the ticket counter to create a very personal luggage set, complete with your name immortalized in train carriage form forever. Create a custom message and cartoon icon to decorate your suitcase. Make it yours at home by adding extra special destination stickers on the outside, so no one accidentally grabs it from the luggage rack.
Trains start at $50 for 5 carriages. Each additional carriage is $7, up to a possible total of 15.
Suitable for ages 3+.
Funko POP! Yourself
POP! Yourself the New York way. Come on down to our authentic city corner to create a personalized Funko POP! inspired by yourself — or whoever you want to create. Feeling a little peckish? Head to the Hotdog cart to place your order, choosing features like hair, clothing, accessories, and other details to design your personalized figure. Once your selections are complete, the custom POP! is assembled at the local newsstand ready for you to collect and take home.
Each experience comes in exclusive packaging. For an additional $8 you can safely tuck away your creation in a POP! Protector, which is always a necessity for something so unique!

Dance on Piano
The Toy Soldiers are rearranging the store, and the Dance on Piano is on the move to a new home. This means that the Dance on Piano will be unavailable for use from September 21st to September 27th. We apologize for any inconvenience.
